Clarification Text Regarding Security Cameras in the Service Area

This clarification text has been prepared by Renkteks Tekstil San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., acting as the data controller, in accordance with Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform, to inform you about the purposes and legal grounds of processing your personal data, the methods of data collection, the recipients of your data, and your rights under KVKK.

At the central building and branch of our service area, a total of 41 security cameras are installed at the building exterior, administrative corridors, production areas, and warehouse areas. These cameras record footage to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The recording and monitoring processes are supervised by the administrative and management departments.

Your personal data obtained through these recordings are processed automatically based on the legal ground stipulated in Article 5 of the Law, namely, “the processing of data is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.” Additionally, your personal data may be shared with judicial authorities or relevant law enforcement agencies if required by law or for the resolution of legal disputes.

Article 20 of the Constitution guarantees everyone the right to be informed about their personal data. Article 11 of KVKK enumerates the rights of the data subject within the scope of the law.

You can submit your requests regarding your rights under Article 11 of the Law, in accordance with Article 5 of the “Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in the Application to the Data Controller,” in writing to the address below or via email:
